Visitation Policy
At Eden Valley Care Center, we believe that family and community connection are vital to the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of our residents. Our visitation policy is designed to promote meaningful engagement while ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Visiting Hours:
We welcome visitors between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM daily to support optimal care, privacy, and rest for our residents. Visits outside of these hours may be arranged with prior approval from facility staff, based on the needs and preferences of the resident.
Resident Rights & Access:
Every resident has the right to receive visitors of their choosing at any time, in alignment with their preferences and consistent with federal and state regulations. We do not restrict or deny visitation based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.
Visitor Guidelines Include:
- All visitors must check in at the front desk upon arrival.
- Proper hand hygiene is required, and visitors must follow any isolation or infection-control measures, if applicable.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult who is not the resident.
- Visitors are asked to respect care schedules, mealtimes, and resident privacy.
- Visitors may not sleep in resident beds, use resident restrooms, or handle any resident care equipment or supplies.
Special Circumstances & Safety:
We recognize the importance of flexibility during significant moments in life. Special accommodations, such as overnight visitation, may be made for residents receiving end-of-life or comfort care. In times of public health concern (e.g., infectious disease outbreaks), reasonable restrictions may be implemented in accordance with CDC and public health guidance. In such cases, we will offer virtual visits, outdoor visitation options, and timely updates.
Facility Right to Restrict Visitation:
While we strive to maintain open access, Eden Valley Care Center reserves the right to limit or deny visitation when it is necessary to protect the health, safety, and dignity of our residents and staff. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Behavior that is disruptive, abusive, or threatening
- Non-compliance with safety protocols or facility policies
- Suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a resident
- Presence of illegal substances, weapons, or contraband
- Signs of intoxication or impairment
In such cases, the decision to restrict or supervise visitation will be made by facility leadership in consultation with the resident, their representative, and appropriate agencies if necessary. Law enforcement may be contacted when safety is compromised.
